Island Cruises Sold

October 7, 2008 by admin

Royal Caribbean have stated that Island Cruises has been Sold; Royal Caribbean have announced that the joint venture originally with First Choice and subsequently TUI is to be ended.

The break up will see Island Escape move to Thomson Cruises while Island Star, the better of the two Island Cruises ships and already owned by Royal Caribbean moving to Pullmantur.

Will this be the last cruise line to be sold or will we wake up to more news such as today’s “Island Cruises Sold” is anyone’s guess, however there is a concern in the industry that there are now too many ships vying for too few passengers and with more new builds coming this may not be the last action among the worlds leading cruise lines to sell off a product.

Island Escape is a friendly cruise ship that gives you the freedom to enjoy your cruise holiday the way in which you would like. There is no formal cruising style onboard meaning that when it comes to dining you can eat where you want, when you want and with who you want. There are no formal dress codes onboard either so if you prefer not to dress up for dinner, then you do not have to. This less formal approach to cruising means that Island Escape gives a relaxed and inviting cruise experience where what you do is entirely up to you.

Dining Island Cruises Style

On board Island Cruises you will be spoilt for choice when it comes to dining. There is plenty to choose from for everyone including the kids. One restaurant that has proved to be a favourite is the Island Restaurant which is a buffet style restaurant. The restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner so you will never be short of something delicious to fill you up.

The dress code in the Island Restaurant is casual so there is no need to pull out those evening dresses and suits, although in the evening it is requested that gentlemen do wear trousers. The menu ranges from salad items and vegetarian options right the way through to meats, pastas and desserts.
